My hamster was hypnotised or something, any ideas?

we have a year and a half old teddy bear hamster, chubby, happy and apparently healthy. I got him out half an hour ago and was stroking him and talking to him (I know, I know) as always. After a couple of minutes I stopped stroking him and waited for him to move, but he was completely motionless, eyes wide open and ears up. I was a little freaked, I blew gently on him, and tried to feel for a heart beat, but nothing. My little boy was getting so upset and I really thought Hamtaro was dead :( I was just about to put him down (he'd been frozen and unresponsive for a few minutes) when he moved his whiskers, had a sniff and was back to normal in a minute! What happened?? Did I hypnotise him by stroking him? I know hammies can hibernate if they're cold, but he's always warm enough. When I was stroking him, he was snuggled in a fluffy blanket, so he wasn't chilly. I'm hoping this is natural and doesn't mean he's on his last legs. Does anybody know what might have happened? Just watched an episode of the series "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding" and it seemed like either the girls worked kind of low paying jobs not requiring much education like the hotel clerk or telemarketer or a cake baker helper. And thats even if they worked at all. And the guys seem to work either in fields or labor requiring jobs. But I read this article that their weddings can cost up to L150000. Thats quite a lot of money. How do they afford it?

going to the marines. my original plan was to go 7051, fire crash crew. but im being told now that job is being contracted out to civilians or will be soon. which sucks. basically i dont want to be a mechanic or clerk or in communications. the things i like dont really help me decide. i like philosophy, world religions, most scientific fields, ect. the only thing that i can think of is infantry but people keep telling me that it sucks. also thinking of artillery. one of my friends did radar artillery and he said he liked it. any of your own personal experiences or preferences would be helpful. i just need to make up my mind and quick.

Father's rights to visitation without a court order?

My boyfriend just had a baby, his name is on the birth certificate, but there are no court orders for visitation or child support. Two days ago they went to court for child support but given the situation me and my boyfriend are in, and what all the mother is asking for, the county clerks said they would hold off on the support and re-scheduled another court date for the 16th. The (5 month old) baby's mother is refusing to allow him to pick up the baby, or take the baby, or allow me to be around the baby. She had us babysit the baby a few months ago so she could go to a wedding, and has allowed us to keep him here for a few hours, she also met with us at the mall to hang out.. having no issues at all until she found out I was pregnant. Now she is being.. silly. She demands money and refuses to share information about the baby.. now she is demanding that my boyfriend go to HER house to visit the baby.. like supervised visitation.. which we refuse to allow because we have done that before and all she will do is be so negative to a point where my boyfriend ends up having to leave because of all the things she says about him, or me, or our unborn child, or our eldest children (I have a 5 yr old from another man and he has a 4 yr old from another woman). My question is: is there anything he/we can do to get personalized visitation with the baby so that my boyfriend can see his son without it's mother breathing down his throat? All he wants is a little time to bond, something she has done her best to stop. She has already stated that she wants him to give up his rights and allow her boyfriend to adopt. (Same guy who told her to abort their child.) My boyfriend just wants things to be equal and fair.. what can we do? We don't have the money to hire a lawyer and are trying to move into a place within the next week. Is there anything at all we can do besides keep records of the texts for the next court hearing? Or does my boyfriend have to wait all that time to see his son?
