My hamster was hypnotised or something, any ideas?

we have a year and a half old teddy bear hamster, chubby, happy and apparently healthy. I got him out half an hour ago and was stroking him and talking to him (I know, I know) as always. After a couple of minutes I stopped stroking him and waited for him to move, but he was completely motionless, eyes wide open and ears up. I was a little freaked, I blew gently on him, and tried to feel for a heart beat, but nothing. My little boy was getting so upset and I really thought Hamtaro was dead :( I was just about to put him down (he'd been frozen and unresponsive for a few minutes) when he moved his whiskers, had a sniff and was back to normal in a minute! What happened?? Did I hypnotise him by stroking him? I know hammies can hibernate if they're cold, but he's always warm enough. When I was stroking him, he was snuggled in a fluffy blanket, so he wasn't chilly. I'm hoping this is natural and doesn't mean he's on his last legs. Does anybody know what might have happened? My boyfriend just had a baby, his name is on the birth certificate, but there are no court orders for visitation or child support. Two days ago they went to court for child support but given the situation me and my boyfriend are in, and what all the mother is asking for, the county clerks said they would hold off on the support and re-scheduled another court date for the 16th. The (5 month old) baby's mother is refusing to allow him to pick up the baby, or take the baby, or allow me to be around the baby. She had us babysit the baby a few months ago so she could go to a wedding, and has allowed us to keep him here for a few hours, she also met with us at the mall to hang out.. having no issues at all until she found out I was pregnant. Now she is being.. silly. She demands money and refuses to share information about the baby.. now she is demanding that my boyfriend go to HER house to visit the baby.. like supervised visitation.. which we refuse to allow because we have done that before and all she will do is be so negative to a point where my boyfriend ends up having to leave because of all the things she says about him, or me, or our unborn child, or our eldest children (I have a 5 yr old from another man and he has a 4 yr old from another woman). My question is: is there anything he/we can do to get personalized visitation with the baby so that my boyfriend can see his son without it's mother breathing down his throat? All he wants is a little time to bond, something she has done her best to stop. She has already stated that she wants him to give up his rights and allow her boyfriend to adopt. (Same guy who told her to abort their child.) My boyfriend just wants things to be equal and fair.. what can we do? We don't have the money to hire a lawyer and are trying to move into a place within the next week. Is there anything at all we can do besides keep records of the texts for the next court hearing? I have a position as a courtesy clerk... At first I did not know what it was, until I start working. I must say this is a pain in the butt job. I couldn't go for another positions aren't any. So anyways, as a courtesy I have to do a lot of work like bringing carts, sacking, running around the store and check for the price. Omg I've been working there for two weeks and I just want to quit. But if I quit how am I going to find another job. Back to the topic, I think the manager of the store doesn't like because I'm not like who I am when he first met me. I was very bubbly, friendly, and ready to work. But working as a courtesy clerk my smile slowly fade away. I couldn't say it to anyone but complain to some of the co- worker that my job sucks! I spent a year in the UK and by the end of the year was so tired of UK customer service. Cab drivers, bartenders, store clerks, waiters/waitresses, dry cleaners, etc. were all rude and acted like I owed THEM my business. Long Story short; This guy tried talking to me, I denied him. I highly regret it, because afterwards I began to have a super major crush on this guy. The cat will be fine. They are really important to a cat because cats are most active at night and they are very use full for senses, I cut my cats whiskers once and the cat seemed to go on normally. If your cat's balance is a little off at first that's normal but like hair they will grow back fast. Plus whiskers fall out like hair all the time. So your cat should be back to normal in no time. I just wouldn't suggest trying it for a second time.

Help on breed of cat?

I have an 8 week old kitten named MoonPaw. He is a short hair tortoise shell, with mainly dark gray fur. He has 6 lighter gray striped going from his head down his tail. He also has ginger color mixed in on his back. He has white markings on his jaw, chest, and tummy :D He is generally quiet, though every 5 hours or so, he'll meow for EVER until I brush him to sleep. He has very long whiskers and large paws. His mom is short hair calico, but I don't know her breed. MoonPaw sort of seems like a Russian Blue/Bengal mix. Since my neighbors have about 4 male Bengals, it seems like a possibility. Any suggestions on what breed you think he is? Is this lump under my right nipple because of...(Please answer I'm concerned)?

Is this lump because I smoked weed, or am going through puberty? I know weed isn't bad but this has my attention. All in all, I've been high like only 14-22 times, and started smoking around October. I think it's called gynecomastia, and I read you can get it from excessive weed smoking. I smoked for the first time in about 3 months about 3-4 weeks ago, which was around the time I noticed this lump. I'm not sure when it came in, but I just happened to be squeezing my nipple one day and felt a lump. The more I squeezed it the bigger it got I think. I can't see it, but I can feel it for sure. I smoked a blunt with my friends, and like 3-4 days later did like 4 bowls over that weekend with my cousin. I don't know if that considered excessive smoking, but is that what caused it? I'm 17, nowhere near fat (121 pounds), about 5'6, my pit hairs have been coming in rapidly but they aren't really close to full grown (I can see a small patch in the mirror now and right side is longer than left), I can see my whiskers if I look close in the mirror, I'm getting chest and stomach hair, and my legs and arms were already a little hairy, but got hairier. I've been getting more facial acne than usual as well. I turn 18 in september. I haven't grown in like 3 years, and these are the first puberty signs I've witnessed since freshman year, excluding my beard which is like an inch if I make the hairs straight (been growing since last year). I think my penis grew from 5 to 6 inches over the past year, because it was 5 last year and about 6 now. I had the voice change later in 8th grade, and grew from 5'3 to 5'6 my freshman year. Can't remember when I got pubes, but I had them before high school for sure. It had o be 7th or 8th grade. lol size 9.5-10 shoe if it matters.

How can I get my CPA with an MBA in Finance, no work experience in public accounting?

I have over 8+ years work experience in accounting. I have worked as a permanent hire for 3 companies none of which I was an employee for more than a year. Majority of my work experience stems from contracting jobs all of which helped me to move up from Accounting Clerk to Staff Accounting level. Staff Accountant.....when I go to interviews, hiring managers ask me what a Staff Accountant is...I've come up with this explanation, one I cannot repeat at an interview......A staff accountant is over qualified to hold the position of a Full Charge Bookkeeper but is under qualified as a Controller. Basically, I would have to dumb my skills and resume down to get a job in this economy as a full charge bookkeeper, or refine my skills in accounting, by getting my CPA. I just graduated June 1st 2011, my brain is on shutdown, however I want to prove to myself that I can utilize either my degree in Finance which seems like a long shot or, get yet another certification to become more marketable. How can I do this without having to work in a public accounting firm? I'm a creative person, I can't be stuck in corporate america I would lose my mind. My plan is to become a CPA for a company within the creative industries. Is there another way, I won't have to pay for any extra accounting classes just to qualify for the license as I'm currently unemployed? What are the old large Adult Simba stuffed animals worth?

I have no idea what it's worth. I had won one of the Large Adult Simba, that they gave away to promote the movie years ago. And I have to get it out of my moms old house before she moves. And UPS said it will cost about $100 to ship it from Maryland to Las Vegas It not in to bad shape it has a small rip on a seam, a small patch of hair that I cut shorter as a kid (about about 1 inch by 1/2 inch long), the eyes have some paint missing, and the whiskers are a little bent. How should I proceed with my landlord situation?

My landlord asked if we would mow the lawn, and when we asked if we could get a rent break for doing it, she freaked out, stating that she was going to raise the rent or kick our third roommate out. Only myself and my husband are officially on the lease, but we know from Burlington, Vermont law (where we live) that our roommate is a legal tenant anyways, so she can't just kick her out. We also know from Burlington law that she needs to give us 90 days written notice in order to raise our rent. The problem is is that she is unreasonable, and if we don't give in to her demand to start paying an extra $100 by August first (which she has asked for by text message, not in written notice, and gave us less than 60 days notice for) and instead request formal written notice, I am 100% positive that when she does give us written notice, it will be to raise the rent by at least $300, if not more. We signed an 18 month lease with her, which doesn't end until April, and had heard from our local tenant's association that we can't be held to a lease of more than 12 months unless it's been registered with the clerk's office, which it hasn't been. Unfortunately, the tenant's association hasn't been able to find this statute, and when I spoke to a local lawyer, he didn't know anything about it either. He suggested that we just give her notice anyways, break the lease, and let her take us to court. If we can't leave legally until April, what should we do? If we try to fight back and insist on notice, we could be stuck dealing with substantially higher rent and her wrath for almost 10 more months. Advice?

i cant eat. sounds like she will be fine. she has familiar items, food,litter box, water bowl. leave your boyfriend the vets phone number in case he needs it and instruct him to clean the litter box twice a day. fresh water every day and more often if food or something falls in it. tell him to keep medicine, shaving cream etc out of her reach and be sure there is nothing in his room that can hurt her like medicine etc.also instruct him not to leave a lamp on in the room because if she knocks it over as she is sure to explore, the bulb can burn the lampshade and start a fire. all elctrical cords should be wound up and out of reach.also, very important, when you set her litter box up, put her in it so she knows where it is and that it is hers.tell him to put it in a corner away from the bedroom door or where there will be privacy and not alot of activity.

Okay I'm majoring in veterinarian. I love animals and I really want to help them. I'm sure that I want to be a veterinarian. I go to a community college that rips me off. They made me take classes that I don't need for my major such as P.E, SDV, and Bio-Medical Ethics. Well maybe Ethics is kind of important but anyways some teachers and advisers are surprise that I want to be a vet because I don't like math and science very much. They think I'm stupid and can't do it. Math is not really my biggest problem but science is. My BIO 102 professor is surprise that I want to be a vet because I suck at Biology. The thing is that I don't do well because they are making me learn more about humans than animals. So why would that be a surprise? I'm going to treat domestic animals, not plant, not reptiles, and not humans. I know that a lot of the human body functions almost the same as animals but not in all animals. They have their differences. I don't want to know about the differences. I want to learn about the animal anatomy, about how to do treatments, and medical studies ONLY related to animals. So tell me something that I don't know. Why do I need to do biology if they are only teaching me about human, insects, and other weird species? Its a waste of time and money in my opinion. I'm transferring to Virginia Tech and hopefully they'll teach me something interesting and useful.

You may be able to do it in that time if you can recruit two helpers. First you will have to tape everything off. Next you will paint the ceiling, then the four walls and lastly the frame boards. I don't know if you've ever painted before but it is tough. Your arms get tired after a while, especially when you're painting up high. And then you have to put more than one coat on so, yeah. I think you can do it with the assistance of some helpers. Can you stall your sister? Maybe tell her to go pick something up for you on her way home? Also, I would say you need approx two five gallon cans to paint this room.

Changing from Large Gravel to Sand?

The same thing happens in my 10 gallon tank. In my 5 gallon tank I have one betta and sand. I just bought some sand from home depot and washed it REALLY well (it took like 3 days of washing, draining, soaking, repeating.) I think you shouldn't worry about bacteria as long as you have the same plants/heater/filter because they hold bacteria. I would keep a little gravel in it because the gravel does hold bacteria. I think that sand is a lot cleaner than my gravel. Good Luck ;]

I have two goldfish in a 10 gal tank. One keeps coming to the surface for air.?

I have both an aerator and a filter. I was reading online that when a goldfish is constantly piping, it means that the tank doesn't have enough oxygen. Also, this tank is relatively new, and the ammonia and nitrites were high, according to water testing done at Petsmart. We did a 10% water change last night (which a PetSmart clerk told us to start doing daily), added AmmoLock, Stress Zyme (to begin the biological filtration). I am guessing that the high levels of ammonia and the fact that the biological filtration takes a few weeks to work is the reason for the piping. Is there anything more I can do to help my fish? Can we increase the daily percentage of water change from 10% to 15% or 20%. If you do a daily water change, what is the maximum percentage of change that you can safely do? We had a goldfish that was doing the same thing, and the next day I found him dead in the tank. I don't want this to happen again.

Goldfish surviving in pond with no care?

My dad works at an elementary school that has a goldfish pond. One of the teachers built it when she worked there a few years ago. After she left (and I think she has been gone for a few years) no one has fed the fish or cleaned the pond. They just left it alone and the goldfish are still alive. I was wondering if anyone would have any idea how they have survived for this long and can they be happy and healthy in that pond? Also, I bought a fish last summer that was supposed to be a koi fish but I think it is a fancy goldfish since it has no whiskers and looks almost exactly like my fantail goldfish. Sick as in diarhea or throwing up? Yes could be from the food change. Also could have been from something else he ate (plants and certain food are poisonous to cats and kittens are curious and eat anything). I do not believe that to be rude assuming you are over the age of 21, the age of adulthood. I think after that you can expect a certain degree of respect. Especially, if you are giving it in return. This is certainly a preference obtained from your upbringing. I do not see it it as rude. If it is delivered in a respectful and non-demanding way, (ie; gently reminding people of this courtesy) in my opinion, it is perfectly acceptable.

Okay. So me and my boyfriend have been together for about 4 years. We're about to be seniors in high school and very in love. I cannot imagine my life without him. [I miss working at Martin Brower and Valspar] I been laid off since October of 2010 and I knew it was coming because the same issue happen to a previous warehouse I worked at, Martin Brower(2005). Last year I worked for Valspar a Plant/DC site that lost the Walmart account. So that means a decrease in the work load and less money for the company. When I first I heard that we were losing the account during the meeting it was a flashback for me all over again when I was worked for Martin Brower it a similar situation because they lost the Quiznos account so that's how I knew. Some of the employees had no clue because they never been laid before and some had very few warehouse experience. It took about a month before the company announce what was really going to happen during the process of losing the Walmart account and everyone had their own ideas of what was going to happen but I knew differently someone was gettin' laid off and majority of times they go by seniority. It just tough looking for work right now. It's tough in general for me, just life period. I just have to say something because I am tired of being beat down when I'm trying my best to make my life better, **** happens. Growing up was a **** hole for me and still is... Can't I just find a decent job that will help me pay my bills and help me save for my future? I can't even go to school because that requires money, Money, Money, Money. Right now I am living in a low-income studio and my only income is my unemployment benefit and that won't even last. I just want to go to work and go to school part time like I did in the previous years. Is there anyone else who is the same boat as me? I been looking and drive around. I even applied at probably 6-7 different counties in the bay area and in the valley of California.The worst part is I live in Stockton, California now, I mean I had to move back here again after the lay off. Stockton is all bad, I lived here for about 20+ years so I know what I am talking about when it comes to employment in this corrupt city. I tried various website, you name it, I applied and registered. Sometimes what I do is drive around and write on a piece of paper the name company that I can find and come back home and apply online and at time I do go to the front clerk and ask for application and majority of times they would they have an online application on their website. Or I would google for example "warehouse distribution center, California" and list of companies would pop up and I would apply and send a resume to all of them. I would look through out Sacramento County, San Joaquin County, Bay Area Counties just looking for any jobs that I feel that I qualify. I made account with Careerbuilder.com, Indeed, Caljobs.ca.gov, etc.. It goes on. The main thing I see most are jobs that require a certificate or degree. I have none so it is going to be a challenge for me. Other than just warehouse jobs, I do look for other types of jobs like: production worker, material handler, truck driver assistant, merchandiser, store associates, etc. Please feel free to give some pointers and feel free to tell your side of the story if you are going through the same thing. Why is my dog attacking my other dog?

I have 2 intact female dogs; Basset Hound and Cocker Spaniel. We bred our basset hound over 6 months ago and during her pregnancy she became aggressive about food with our cocker. When we discussed this with a professional they said it should pass once her puppies are gone and her hormones are back to normal. We didn't have any problems with her until a few weeks ago when she again became aggressive again over a few kibbles my daughter put on the floor. Then, this morning I heard growling near our back door and found our cocker sitting waiting to go out and avoiding eye contact with the Basset hound and as soon as I tried to intervene our Basset attacked. It's a lot of noise and growling, but no injuries. She is just coming out of heat. It's so surprising since our BH is so loving and playful and usually is best friends with the CS. I am wondering if we spay them both if the aggressiveness will stop, or if this is something we will need to bring a behaviorist in to correct. I am not a backyard breeder btw so no nasty comments. My BH is registered and all of the health checks were done etc. I am trying to do what is best for my dogs.

Unknown snake species.?

A few years ago I was in southern Iraq and was heading to my tent and saw a snake slither away. It was about three feet long, as big around as my thumb and sandy colored. It appeared to be some type of viper. I could see the poison glands in it's cheeks. The interesting thing was that the snake had whiskers. Two whiskers sticking out of each side of it's mouth. Four whiskers total I think (didn't get close enough). Whiskers were an off-white to sand color about three inches long and stuck straight out at 90 degrees from the head. Just like a cat only thicker. I've researched everything I can think of and haven't come across this snake in any picture. Has anyone else seen this snake before? I've been all over the world and I've seen some crazy animals but this thing takes the cake for me. I would like to know how poisonous it was so I can know how close to death I came.

I have two goldfish in a 10 gal tank. One keeps coming to the surface for air.?

I have both an aerator and a filter. I was reading online that when a goldfish is constantly piping, it means that the tank doesn't have enough oxygen. Also, this tank is relatively new, and the ammonia and nitrites were high, according to water testing done at Petsmart. We did a 10% water change last night (which a PetSmart clerk told us to start doing daily), added AmmoLock, Stress Zyme (to begin the biological filtration). I am guessing that the high levels of ammonia and the fact that the biological filtration takes a few weeks to work is the reason for the piping. Is there anything more I can do to help my fish? Can we increase the daily percentage of water change from 10% to 15% or 20%. If you do a daily water change, what is the maximum percentage of change that you can safely do? We had a goldfish that was doing the same thing, and the next day I found him dead in the tank. I don't want this to happen again.

Why is my period so light?

I've been on the pill for some time now and at the very end of my period this month I had sex. 10 days after the sex I had some light spotting and I was worried that I might be pregnant. So I stressed about it for a week and I started getting stomach pains. They weren't pains from my vagina, it would just be stomach pains. When I stopped stressing they would go away unless I ate food that really upset my stomach. Anyway last night I got my period and I was very surprised because they usually don't come until about 24 hours later. I could definitely tell it was my period, but it's so light that it isn't staining the pad I'm wearing. Whenever I wipe when I go to the bathroom I see the blood so I know I'm having my period. It's never quite this light though. Also this morning I woke up and was feeling very sick. My back hurt and my head and stomach hurt and I was getting very light-headed when I would stand for a while I also had a fever and lots of diarrhea. I'm feeling much better now but I still am having some diarrhea. I couldn't be pregnant right? Is my period light because I was stressed and then got sick? I graduated with a 3.7 GPA in Psychology, have relevant internship experience, and am about to take the GRE's. I'm planning to apply to forensic psych grad programs but am surprised to find so few out there. I know that you usually need to obtain a masters before going for a phd, but could i get into a PsyD program or is that unrealistic? The program I'm looking at is fairly new, would this help at all?

ok so we found this skiny skinny skinny almost nothing but bones black and white cat so we started feeding her and in a few weekes we notice she was pregnet.but was still GREATLY skinny even with that big kitten belly she had these kittens under our trailor. this cat loves and we named her whiskers she loves us and we love her.now her owner clearly does not take care of her and we are moving soon. also this cat has been attacked by somthing she is hurt on her ear and bleeding so we fixed her up and its heeling. anyway back to moving, were moving soon do you think we should take them. if we dont there going to die but is it wrong to take them while they hav a owner...even though its owner dont take care of her should we take them.

I'm not sure the rough kitten is experiencing separation anxiety from the mother. Cats don't need their mother emotionally like we humans do. Was she fed properly after the mother was hospitalized? Has she seen a vet? If you are worried, I would take her to the vet. Maybe she's experiencing an illness of some kind. The disturbed meow is a bit of a concern.

Unknown snake species.?

A few years ago I was in southern Iraq and was heading to my tent and saw a snake slither away. It was about three feet long, as big around as my thumb and sandy colored. It appeared to be some type of viper. I could see the poison glands in it's cheeks. The interesting thing was that the snake had whiskers. Two whiskers sticking out of each side of it's mouth. Four whiskers total I think (didn't get close enough). Whiskers were an off-white to sand color about three inches long and stuck straight out at 90 degrees from the head. Just like a cat only thicker. I've researched everything I can think of and haven't come across this snake in any picture. Has anyone else seen this snake before? I've been all over the world and I've seen some crazy animals but this thing takes the cake for me. I would like to know how poisonous it was so I can know how close to death I came.

I moved to this school in fifth grade. Now I'll be going into freshman year. During the summer of fifth and sixth grade I went to the school to hang out with my best friend at the time(A girl). On the way there as we passed the gas station, there was a group of the more jock-like guys, who I do not like because they were very rude and judged people A LOT. Yes, we did have jock-ish people at that time, more mild then, though. Story short- we got called losers, fatties, bitches, etc., but went on. They were there when my friend and I got to the park-school thing. They teased us, stole my water, and well, were assholes. I never wanted to see their faces, mainly his. To my surprise, he was in my 6th grade class. Well, I avoided him because of his douche-ish acts. During the year, I progressed into more of a girl.(Within 3 months) Meaning--not to be offensive-- I slimmed out and got 4 inches taller.I was really short, by the end of that I was 5' and 1 half inches. After that was over... I caught him staring at me. That went on for the rest of the school year. While we were at a week long camp(in May), he was in my group, one thing on my mind- oh joy... I told this kid who I joke around with a lot that I, jokingly, hated him, the guy who I'm asking the question about(who I'll nickname 'boy') was behind me talking to a guy. Boy then said, 'you don't hate me, right?'. Confused I said "no.. you're alright." that was odd. On the last day of school, Boy walked up to me blushing and was going to say something, but then walked away.(I know it's long, bare with me!) He has been in 4 of my classes(not including 6th grade) during the course of middle school, and has been my project partner once, and we barely talked to each other during that time, or during middle school at all. Boy still stared and sometimes blushed or smiled. I talked to my very good best friend, who is a gamer and guy, and he said he has only the slightest clue of a yes. My very few female friends say, maybe. I really do not like this guy! He is rude and keeps girlfriends for like 2 months or less. Boy also harshly dumps them 75% of the time. Why do people give babies dirty looks?

When a mother gets on board of an aeroplane with baby, people give all kinds of looks like "Oh no, here we go". Luckily for me my baby never cried on his 8 hr flight from NY to London (he was only 3 months old) and you shoulkd have seen the surprising looks on people's faces LOL However, there were two twin girls who made more than enough noise. How many people think America is about (when I say about I mean within 5 to 10 years) to come crumbling down? I'm not talking about terrorism either.
